Afterwards, tour the Museum’s two main galleries featuring exhibitions on the beginning of the Great War prior to U.S. involvement and the United States’ military and civilian involvement in the war and efforts for peace.

Conveniently situated within walking distance from the Westin Kansas City, the National World War I Museum and Memorial in Kansas City, Missouri, was opened in 1926 as the Liberty Memorial. In 2004, the United States Congress designated it as the country’s official war memorial and museum dedicated to World War I. The museum is a brief, 10 minute walk from the Westin Kansas City at Crown Center conference hotel.
